Sing a Story

Unleash the imaginations of children ages 4-10 as they perform an opera in your library.

Sing a Story is an interactive introduction to opera for ages 4–10 in groups of 30–50. A teaching artist will visit your library to tell the story of a classic opera and teach a singing lesson before revealing a magic bag full of costumes and props. The entire audience will then participate in performing the opera from the beginning. Volunteers will rotate playing parts and everyone can sing in the chorus.
