Your Charitable Bequest
Your charitable bequest is a most important type of gift for San Francisco Opera. When received, your bequest will be entered into our books and records as a gift that helps sustain our mission, serving the objectives and purposes of San Francisco Opera.
There are two basic types of bequests for you to consider. The first, a specific bequest of money or some other asset such as stock or real estate, results in no income taxes being paid by your estate. The second type, a residual bequest, is often made after remembering relatives and friends, and often gives away a percentage of your estate assets. When you place either of these types of bequests in your will or living trust and notify San Francisco Opera, we will invite you to become a member of our Bel Canto Legacy Society.
