SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 16, 2023) — San Francisco Opera's 101st season continues in early December with a variety of performances and events. Along with The Elixir of Love Encounter (December 1) and the final performances of Donizetti's operatic romance The Elixir of Love (L'Elisir d'Amore), the month of December brings two annual, year-end concerts showcasing the Company's resident artists, orchestra and chorus.
THE FUTURE IS NOW: ADLERS IN CONCERT
December 2, Herbst Theatre
Taking place in Herbst Theatre on Saturday, December 2, The Future Is Now features the 2023 Adler Fellows: sopranos Arianna Rodriguez, Mikayla Sager and Olivia Smith; mezzo-sopranos Gabrielle Beteag and Nikola Printz; tenors Victor Cardamone, Edward Graves and Moisés Salazar; bass-baritone Jongwon Han; and pianists Yang Lin and Marika Yasuda. Accompanied by the San Francisco Opera Orchestra under the baton of Ramón Tebar, who makes his San Francisco Opera debut leading Donizetti's The Elixir of Love (November 21–December 9), the Adlers will perform scenes and arias from operatic works, including classics by Bellini, Puccini and Mozart along with twentieth- and twenty-first-century operas by composers Samuel Barber, Carlisle Floyd and David Lang.
The Adlers concluding their fellowships with this concert are second-year Adler Fellows Gabrielle Beteag, Victor Cardamone, Edward Graves, Mikayla Sager and Marika Yasuda and first-year Adler Fellow Moisés Salazar. Continuing in the program in 2024 as second-year Adlers are Jongwon Han, Yang Lin, Nikola Printz, Arianna Rodriguez and Olivia Smith.

SAN FRANCISCO OPERA CHORUS IN CONCERT
December 8, Dianne and Tad Taube Atrium Theater
San Francisco Opera presents the acclaimed San Francisco Opera Chorus in concert at the intimate Dianne and Tad Taube Atrium Theater on the fourth floor of the Veterans Building on Friday, December 8. Chorus Director John Keene conducts and Associate Chorus Master Fabrizio Corona provides support at the keyboard for this evening of a cappella and accompanied choral works.
The 75-minute program features selections from the concert, sacred and opera repertoires, including music by Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Lili Boulanger and Florence Price along with works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gabriel Fauré and Stephen Paulus.
