Performance and Labor Updates

We are disappointed that the Orchestra has chosen to strike the opening night of the Opera’s summer season. We have been in discussions with the Orchestra for over a year about a framework moving forward, including a contract that provides wage increases and enhanced retirement packages, in addition to a new healthcare model, agreed by both sides, that will provide equivalent healthcare at a much lower cost. We look forward to continuing those discussions and getting back to creating and sharing transformative opera with our audiences.

Patrons with tickets to cancelled performances due to a labor action, patrons holding tickets for cancelled performances will have the value of their tickets held in their account. Patrons have three options for the On Account-Cancelled Funds:

On Account-Cancelled Funds funds may be used to purchase tickets to an upcoming performance in the 2024-25 opera season.
On Account-Cancelled Funds funds may be donated.
Patrons may request a full refund for the value of their performance tickets.
