It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce the 10th Anniversary Celebration of An Evening on the Stage, which will take place on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. We invite you to join us for an elegant and celebratory evening honoring Karen Kubin and Mary and Bill Poland.  With their time, talent, and treasure, our honorees have been stalwart supporters of San Francisco Opera Guild, and its mission and programs.

  With their time, talent, and treasure, our honorees have been stalwart supporters of San Francisco Opera Guild, and its mission and programs.

  As past presidents of San Francisco Opera Guild, Karen and Mary have inspired legions of individuals to support our music education programs. In addition, all three of our honorees have mentored countless youth, including aspiring opera students, in professional and personal capacities. They are recognized in the US and globally as inspirational leaders in their respective industries and philanthropic endeavors.

• Event Details

  This year’s An Evening on the Stage will take place on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, and has become a highlight of the Bay Area’s holiday season. 

  Festivities will begin at 6pm with cocktails in the lobby of the War Memorial Opera House.  The doors to the theater will open at 7pm and guests will experience the thrill of being on the stage in one of the world’s grandest opera houses amid stunning décor by J. Riccardo Benavides and an elegant dinner by McCalls Catering.
