Explore Il Trovatore in a 90-minute presentation by Kip Cranna.

Clifford "Kip" Cranna is Dramaturg Emeritus (Scholar in Residence) of San Francisco Opera. He served on the staff for over 40 years and was Director of Music Administration for 30 years. In 2008, he was awarded the San Francisco Opera Medal, the company's highest honor, and in 2014 he received the Star of Excellence Award for service to San Francisco Opera Guild. He holds a PhD in Musicology from Stanford University and teaches frequently at the Fromm Institute at USF, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes at U.C. Berkeley, and Dominican University. Kip also loves to bike and recently returned from a bike trip in Northern Italy.
