A livestream is a live recording that is coming straight to you from the War Memorial Opera House! The performance is happening at the same time you are seeing it.
Yes! We will be livestreaming the third performance of every opera and they will be on demand for 48 hours after the performance. Any concert we live stream will not be on demand.

First you must make an account. Click “Sign In” in the upper righthand corner to sign in to your existing San Francisco Opera account (use the same username and password as you do on San Francisco Opera’s website) or, on the “Sign In” page, click to make a new account. Then navigate to the livestream you would like to purchase.

If you are using Wifi, you can try connecting to the internet with a hard-wired connection.
Close other applications on your device and disconnect other devices using the same WiFi network.
Reset and/or turn off and restart your modem and/or router.
Move your devices closer to your WiFi router.

Clear browser cache and/or close and restart your browser.

Yes! Please search your app store for “SFO Front Row” on Apple TV, Samsung, Android TV, or Amazon Fire TV.
SF Opera Front Row is now available on Apple TV, Amazon Firestick, Samsung, and Android TV. For Chromecast, make sure you are accessing the stream through your Chrome internet browser. Once the video is loaded on your computer, click "View" in the navigation bar of Chrome and then click on "Cast."
A small window should show up called "Cast Tab" on the right corner of your browser page and the name of your connected television should be listed there.
Click the name of your TV and the video should show up on your television.
Yes! Here some additional hints below in the event you have a SmartTV or are already equipped with mirror or casting devices to send content from your computer, tablet, or smartphone to your TV.
Chromecast If you have a Chromecast dongle or a smart TV with with built-in Chromecast support, you can cast apps and Chrome web pages from your phone to your television with a few taps. In order to do this, your phone must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your streaming dongle or smart TV.
Yes! English subtitles are available on the video player. To see subtitles, click the gear symbol at the bottom righthand part of the screen near the play/pause button. Unfortunately subtitles in other languages aren’t available at this time.

When you stream something from another device like iMac or iPhone to your Apple TV, the subtitle setting on your original device is disregarded the moment of the switch for that movie. In order to turn on the captions on your TV, swipe down during playback on your Apple TV during playback to get to the information window with chapters, subtitle options, and audio options.
