Mezzo-soprano Laura Krumm is an alumna of the San Francisco Opera Adler Fellowship Program. During her time as an Adler Fellow, Krumm was heard in several roles with the Company including Rosina in The Barber of Seville for Families, a Maid in the world premiere of Tobias Picker’s Dolores Claiborne, and Martha in the world premiere of Nolan Gasser’s The Secret Garden. She also sang Laura in Jack Perla's Love/Hate at the ODC Theater. In the 2017–18 season, Krumm returned to San Francisco Opera for Javotte in Manon and Siegrune in Die Walküre, and in the current season she is Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana and the Kitchen Boy in Rusalka.
Recent roles include Zerlina in Don Giovanni for Nashville Opera, Meg in Mark Adamo’s Little Women at Michigan Opera Theatre, Sister Helen Prejean in Dead Man Walking and Mrs. Webb in Our Town with Fresno Grand Opera, and Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Opera Idaho.
On the concert stage, she joined the Alexander String Quartet for performances of Jake Heggie’s Camille Claudel: Into the Fire as part of the Chamber Music at Kohl Mansion Concert series, debuted with the Berkeley Symphony in Kaija Saariaho’s Adriana Songs, and performed Peter Lieberson’s Neruda Songs with the UC Davis Symphony. She also joined choreographer Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet in their Brazil tour of Constellation where she sang works by Handel, Vivaldi, and Strauss in collaboration with a performance by the ballet corps.
