San Francisco Opera and the San Francisco Giants invite you to Opera at the Ballpark on Friday, June 20 for a free, live simulcast of Donizetti’s bel canto masterpiece Lucia di Lammermoor.
Through state-of-the-art technology, the performance will be transmitted in high definition, live from the War Memorial Opera House stage to AT&T Park’s 3200-square-foot Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Vision scoreboard. Baseball fans and opera fans will experience this FREE event with seating both on the field and in the stands.
ADVANCE REGISTRATION
Advanced-registration ticket holders will be allowed to enter AT&T Park beginning at 6:30 pm, through the Lefty O'Doul Gate.
When you register for your FREE SIMULCAST tickets and early entry to AT&T Park, you are also automatically entered into a drawing for 2 Box Seats to San Francisco Opera’s production of La Bohème this fall, and two Box Seats at AT&T Park for a 2008 San Francisco Giants game. Only registered ticket holders will be allowed early entrance for best seating.
Those who have not pre-registered and do not have pre-printed tickets will be directed to the Willie Mays Plaza Entrance and allowed to enter the park starting at 7pm.
FIELD SEATING
Bring blankets to sit on the field; no lawn or beach chairs will be permitted.
AT&T Park Concessions will be open for the simulcast. No glass containers, no alcohol, no metal utensils, no hard-sided coolers or picnic baskets are permitted.
Bon Appetit has created a luxurious picnic bag, available for the June 20 simulcast. This sumptuous picnic fare was a huge hit last season! Don’t miss your opportunity to skip the lines and have a gourmet meal for two (or a great light snack for four).
Picnic includes cheese selections, salami, salad, baguettes and spread, fruit selection, wine, water and chocolates.
