Please join us for BRAVO! CLUB's 17th annual Opening Night Gala as we kick off the San Francisco Opera's Grand and Glorious 2008-2009 season with a night of fantasy and glamour at City Hall, transformed for an evening into Il Porto Antico, the ancient port quarter of Genoa.
Our magical evening will begin with an exclusive pre-performance cocktail reception featuring delectable antipasti and appetizers.
Following the reception, Maestro Donald Runnicles will conduct Verdi's masterwork Simon Boccanegra at the War Memorial Opera House, starring acclaimed Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky as Boccanegra. Singing the role of Amelia will be Barbara Frittoli, in her San Francisco Opera debut.
The festivities will continue with an elegant seated dinner in the North Light Court of City Hall and dancing in its dramatic Rotunda.
